We join spokes together in a wheel,
but it is the center hole
that makes the wagon move.
We shape clay into a pot,
but it is the emptiness inside
that holds whatever we want.
We hammer wood for a house,
but it is the inner space
that makes it livable.
We work with being,
but non-being is what we are.

The passage invokes a picture in my mind of people coming together to be the Tao; we are the spokes, the clay, the wood. We are the Being.

Unbelievable
I got this in my e-mail today...aren't home equity loans one of the things that got individuals into trouble as part of this economic downturn?

Aargh!
This picture makes me chuckle; its a good rendition of what happens to me when I get frustrated.
Things to do:
1. Figure out the controls on my camera
2. Practice art
3. Read
4. Ponder frustration
5. Ponder loneliness
6. Ponder why I write this blog
7. Exercise at the gym
8. Make real connections with real people.
That's a 24 hour day right there.
I need someone to pay me for doing nothing, and clean my house besides.
